HI,
Im on mandriva 2010 and updated to the newest from the repos. I have noticed however that modules and devel rpms from all the older kernels are still installed. This wastes an incredible amount of space (>200Mb)
How do i fix the problem? Is manually uninstalling the concerned rpms for the kernels other than the latest safe?
Regards

Removing the unused kernel's RPMs is safe, so just do it. This will remove the kernel's binary and header files (kernel RPM and kernel-devel RPM, just as Germ said).
The only way to remove the modules folder is to delete it as root. If you removed the concerning RPMs, it is safe to remove them.
The multiple choices at startup will last until you edit the GRUB's menu file, do it from MCC-> startup -> configure startup.
I agree with Germ, you can uninstall the old kernel packages if the latest one works OK for you.

No, uninstalling an old kernel will remove it's entry from the GRUB menu automatically. And the /lib/modules/* folders for each unisntalled kernel, are just empty directories....
