Guys,

My box is currently running 2008 with the cooker repos (and has been for quite some time now).

Should I be upgrading/downgrading to 2008 release, or do I leave things where they are?

Can I safely remove cooker and use the club repo's for updates from here?

Ta

Peter.

I hope you didn't update packages since Monday, as we re-opened Cooker and it now has 2008.1 development going on.

If you did, you will need to do this:

rpm -qa | grep 2008\.1

and manually downgrade all the packages listed to the ones from the 2008.0 repos.

Then you can switch your repos to 2008, do an urpmi --auto-update to make sure you have all the 2008 final packages, and you should be good from then on.

OK, thanks Adam.

Only 3 packages seem to have been affected

rpm -qa | grep 2008\.1
mandriva-release-Free-2008.1-0.1mdv2008.1
printer-tools-2008-1mdv2008.0
mandriva-release-common-2008.1-0.1mdv2008.1

Printer tools is OK.. so the only ones are the release packages.

I tried using

urpmi --allow-force --replacepkgs mandriva-release-Free

Which didn't throw any error, but doesn't seem to have changed anything either.
